The most sensitive area behind the horse’s ear: the atlas…… the atlas is where the nuchal ligament starts which is responsible for the whole chain of movements of the back.
As a result of pressure, infection can occur – which can be very painful for the horse. The poll area of the Barefoot Bridle 'Contour' is shaped so that no pressure is applied to that delicate spot behind the ears.
Brow - and Noseband are also shaped:
The noseband is shaped upwards. It lies on the broader part of the nasal bone therefore ensuring no restriction to the horses breathing.
2-in-1:
The bridle can be used with or without a bit. The cheek pieces, attached with a Chicago screw and can simply be removed.
Browband, headpiece and noseband are softly padded, so is the area around the ears and the buckles.
